ADF and US personnel on Operation CATALYST
There are around 920 Australian Defence Force personnel deployed throughout the Middle East as part of Operation CATALYST, Australia's contribution to the rehabilitation and reconstruction of Iraq.
About one third of those personnel are based in Iraq itself.
