Independence Day Shooting Competition
Australian and New Zealand members of the International Stabilisation Force’s Timor-Leste Battle Group VI took part in the East Timor Defence Force Independence Day shooting competition held at Metinaro Range on Thursday 27 August.
The team pitted their shooting skills against members of the East Timor Defence and Police Forces (F-FDTL and PNTL) and comprised Staff Sergeant Chad Halley, who represented the Kiwis, and Corporal Christian Schutt, Lance Corporal Robert Bruce, and Private Matthew Harris from the Australian side.
The ANZAC team were the ultimate victors.
The shoot was conducted as part of the celebrations being held in East Timor to commemorate the 10th anniversary of popular consultation.
