Engineers build a standard grenade range at Metinaro
International Stabilisation Force engineers build a standard grenade range at Metinaro, east of Dili. The range will serve as a training area for soldiers of the ISF and East Timor Defence Force.
A troop of engineers first removed the old range, which was not up to Australian safety standards, then began building the complex of waiting bays, ammunition issue, throwing and safety bays. The building task will take about two months, including levelling and the realignment of the 300m classification range and an upgrade to roads around the Metinaro range.
