Outgoing International Stabilisation Force Commander, Brigadier Mark Holmes presents soldiers of Charlie Company, Timor Leste Battle Group 5 with the Australian Service Medals with East Timor clasp. Brigadier Holmes was accompanied by East Timor’s Prime Minister, Xanana Gusmao and Australian Ambassador to East Timor, Peter Heyward, who thanked each of the soldiers individually for their service.

Charlie Company operated in the Baucau district and return to Australia after four months service in East Timor. The company is the first to return home as part of the International Stabilisation Force realignment.
