St Barbara’s Day December 4
Soldiers from 110 Air Defence Battery deployed as part of the East Timor Battle Group 5 gathered at their G Company base to celebrate St Barbara’s Day December 4.
St Barbara is the patron saint of artillery – the corps of the 16 AD Regiment soldiers.
The company and invited guests were presented the history of artillery, the history of the Royal Australian Artillery and versions of the St Barbara legend.
They celebrated with a brunch and special cake.
