East Timor farewell visit
Commander 1 Division, General Richard Wilson was in East Timor as part of his farewell visit to soldiers of the Division. Timor Leste Battle Group-5 is made up of predominantly 1 Brigade and Direct Command Unit soldiers of 1 Division.
General Wilson’s party included HQ 1 Div Regimental Sergent Major Warrant Officer Class 1 Wayne Giddings; 1 Brigade Commander Brigadier Michael Krause and RSM WO1 Donald Spinks.
The 1 Div Commander updated soldiers on the state of the Army and praised their good work in East Timor.
