New Zealand Defence Force change over
The New Zealand Defence Force elements of the International Stabilisation Force (ISF) in East Timor changed overas part of the regular company group rotation.
About 150 soldiers were met at Comoro airport by the current company group, Gyro 5. Guests included New Zealand Ambassador Ruth Nuttall, members of the New Zealand police serving with the UN, representatives from the East Timor Defence Force (F-FDTL) and Australian members of the International Stabilisatoin Force (ISF).
Gyro 5 met Gyro 6 with a traditional Maori challenge and welcome called "powhiri"
