Visit by New Zealand CDF
The New Zealand Chief of Defence Force and Warrant Officer of the Defence Force visited East Timor over three days.
The trip gave them the opportunity to be welcomed with a powhiri and barbecue lunch at Kiwi Company lines in Dili, a quick trip to Obrigado Barracks – the home of a platoon of New Zealand soldiers – and to an outpost position east of Dili.
The CDF was given the rare opportunity to be shown through the Resistance Museum by Brigadier General Taur Metan Ruak, Chief of Defence Force East Timor.
