Commander Joint Operations visit to Dili
Lieutenant General Mark Evans recently took command of Joint Operations Command and paid his first visit to Operation ASTUTE in East Timor, as one of the operations for which he is responsible. After initial discussions with Brigadier James Baker and key ISF staff, he travelled to several forward operating bases where he was briefed by subordinate commanders to gain first hand insight into the operation. He also addressed the soldiers and thanked them for the excellent work they were doing away from their families for an extended period.
