CDF visits Solomon Islands
The Chief of the Defence Force General Peter Cosgrove on 29 April 2004 visited the Australian troops deployed on Operation ANODE in the Solomon Islands.
As part of the Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands (RAMSI), the Australian military contingent has made a significant contribution to restoration of security and law and order.
The contingent has provided security to the Participating Police Force to help in the restoration of law and order. It also has assisted logistical support to RAMSI across the Solomon Islands.
