Aero Medical Evacuation officers

Aero Medical Evacuation Liason Officers (AELO) Major Rashon Gilbert-Steele and Technical Sergeant Gwendolyn Gaines are both from 59th Medical Wing, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. They are working closely with Flight Lieutenant Wendy Blackford from Casualty Regulating Cell (North) at the Air Base Command Post RAAF Darwin during Exercise Talisman Saber 09. This newly developed role sees AELOs as the facilitators between medical and transport assets, ensuring patients receive the required level of care whilst on an exercise.
