5th Aviation Regiment Chinook at TS09
Talisman Saber 2009 involved hundreds of aircraft movements taking place around the Shoalwater Bay Training Area during the exercise.
Australian Army Aviation CH-47 Chinook Pilot, Captain (CAPT) Scott Matthey, from the Townsville-based 5th Aviation Regiment. Capt Matthey focuses on pre-flight start up procedures as he prepares his aircraft for flight out of Williamson Airfield in the Shoalwater Bay Training Area.
