Mustin is participating in Talisman Saber 2009, a joint exercise between U.S. and the Australian Defense Force that includes participation from more than 20,000 U.S. and 10,000 Australian personnel. Mustin is one of seven Arleigh Burke-class destroyers assigned to Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15 and operates out of Yokosuka, Japan.
