HMAS Kanimbla and USS Essex
HMAS KANIMBLA's Sea King helicopter, Shark 10, plays a key role in the transportation of personnel and stores during Exercise Talisman Saber 09. Exercise Talisman Saber is a joint Australian/US exercise, held every second year to ensure currency and interoperability between the Defence forces of the two nations.
Shark 10, launches from the deck of HMAS KANIMBLA, heading to Rockhampton QLD, to transfer five Australian Parliamentarians back to the ship for participation in the Australian Defence Force Personnel Exchange Program (ADFPEP).
