NSW Soldiers catch a ride to Talisman Saber 09
More than 150 Army Reservists from the NSW-based 5th Brigade recently deployed to Queensland to participate in Exercise Talisman Saber 09 alongside several thousand other Australian Defence Force and US military personnel.
The Reserve soldiers, from the Sydney metropolitan area and Western NSW, flew by C-130 Hercules aircraft from RAAF Base Richmond to Shoalwater Bay Training Area on 10 and 11 July.
Members from No 1 Air Operations Support Squadron, Air Movements section, load cargo on to a No 37 Squadron C-130J Hercules prior to the aircraft deploying Australian Army Reservists, from 5th Brigade High Readiness Reserve Combat Team, to Exercise Talisman Saber 09.
