HMAS Kanimbla recovering amphibious vehicles
Navy personnel and members of HMAS Kanimbla’s ship’s Army department use the ship’s crane to bring an amphibious LARC onboard, after sea conditions made it difficult to employ the usual method of loading through the stern door.
As Exercise Talisman Saber 09 enters the amphibious stage, LARCs and LCM8 Landing Craft from HMAS Kanimbla play an essential role in transporting land forces from 3RAR to shore.
