Eagle Vision watches out over Talisman Saber 09
Eagle Vision 5 provides unclassified commercial satellite imagery in support of the Talisman Saber 09 exercise. The United States crew is a combination of Air Force troops stationed at Ramstein Germany, San Diego California, and Hickam Air Force Base Hawaii. Four Geospatial Imagery Analysts from No 87 Squadron at RAAF Edinburgh complete the team in this joint exercise, allowing both sides to share skill sets, and be exposed to the civilian satellite technology.
Aircraftwoman (ACW) Sacha Wardle, A Geospatial Imagery Analyst from No 87 SQN, based at RAAF Edinburgh, is working with the 293rd Combat Communications Squadron Eagle Vision team at RAAF Darwin. ACW Wardle is printing out a map of RAAF Darwin in the Production Cell of the Eagle Vision ground station.
Technical Sergeant Kyle Kikuchi, Data Aquasition Segment Operator from 293rd Communications Squadron, Hickam Air Force Base Hawaii, is working on a console within the Eagle Vision ground station where he programs the production and the antenna to acquire imagery.
