RAAF Base Darwin ready to roll into Talisman Saber 09
No. 44 Wing Detachment Darwin provides Air Traffic Control services to Australia's 'top end', and is in full motion as flying tempo has increased rapidly with the arrival of numerous aircraft participating in Exercise Talisman Saber 09.
Here they come! Flight Lieutenant (FLTLT) Greg Hay, an Air Traffic Controller from RAAF Williamtown, is on relief manning at No. 44 Wing Detachment Darwin. FLTLT Hay is positioned in the approach room as the Recovery Director, managing the flow control between the Darwin approach airspace and military airspace.

You break it, we fix it - Leading Aircraftman (LAC)Robert Durighello, a Communication Electronic Technician with Ground Electronics Services, No. 44 Wing Detachment Darwin, is placing an electrical wiring patch onto a crone rack.
