06 July 2010 Commodore Mayer visited Australian contingents based at the Marine Corps Base in Kaneohe Bay as part of his role as Commander of all Australian elements of Exercise RIMPAC 10. Australian Clearance Diving Team Four demonstrated advanced underwater equipment to Commodore Mayer and Exercise Commander Vice Admiral Rick Hunt. Commodore Mayer also addressed Bravo Company from Townsville’s 2 Royal Australian Regiment, as well as Australian AP – 3C Orion aircraft maintainers. |
