Australian Navy Clearance Divers

RIMPAC, the world's largest multinational exercise, is scheduled biennially by U.S. Pacific Fleet and takes place in the Hawaiian operating area during 29 June - 31 July 2008.

Participants include Australia, Canada, Chile, Japan, Netherlands, Peru, Republic of Korea, Singapore, United Kingdom and the United States.

As part of the lead up to the practical phase of the exercise briefings were held for all of the personnel involved. Divers from different countries around the world take part in the biannual multi national exercise RIMPAC 2008, their role in this exercise is to conduct a forum to exchange information between participating countries on the differing procedures that each country uses in regards to clearance diving and mine counter measures (MCM).
