PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP
18 September 2010 Australian Navy and Army personnel from HMAS Tobruk along with students from Kokopo Secondary school in Papua New Guinea taught a handful of sailors from USS Vandegrift how to play touch football as part of Pacific Partnership 2010 (PP10). The game, established as a community service project enabled the students to showcase their techniques, with their skills proving too much for the combined Australian and American team with a final score of 5-1 to Kokopo Secondary. Community service projects, as part of PP10 are an important aspect of enhancing international relationships and cultural exchange.
