PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP
06 September 2010 The People of East New Britain in Papua New Guinea are receiving vital medical and dental care from multi-national health professionals in the region whilst a number of reconstruction projects are being completed during Pacific Partnership 2010. The week long humanitarian assistance mission in PNG, led by the United States, Australia and Papua New Guinea Defence Forces. The annual endeavour provides an opportunity for military, non-government organisations and host nation personnel to plan and implement humanitarian assistance efforts in various regions. As part of the effort over 250 ADF personnel, working with both military and non-government organisations personnel will treat approximately 4000 patients and complete three engineering projects. |
