PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP
13 August 2010 Pacific Partnership 2010 has commenced humanitarian assistance in East Timor as part of the annual mission. United States Naval Ship (USNS) Mercy and HMA Ships Labuan and Tarakan will be operating in the region for two weeks, with the 1000-strong multi-national team conducting medical, dental and engineering projects in Dili and outer lying regions of East Timor. The PP10 mission marks the fifth year of Australian support, and will provide engineering and medical assistance in Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, East Timor and Papua New Guinea. |
