HMA Ships BETANO and WEWAK crews worked long, hard days on ship to shore support and expeditionary medical programs during the US Navy’s humanitarian civic assistance mission PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP 2009. The ‘H’ crews joined the specialist ADF engineering, medical and dental team in Tonga and the Solomon Islands. PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP is the annual, US sponsored training and readiness mission in the Pacific Fleet area of responsibility, this year traveling to Samoa, Tonga, the Solomon Islands, Kiribati and the Republic of the Marshall Islands providing vital medical, dental, engineering and veterinary aid from June to September.
