Pitch Black 2008
| 18 June 2008 Exercise Pitch Black 08 Open Day An F/A 18 Hornet fighter jet zoomed across the skies thrilling the more than 10,000 visitors who turned out to the RAAF Base Darwin Open Day. As RAAF Base Exercise Pitch Black 08 gets ready to soar over Darwin and Tindal the pilots and ground crew took a day to thank the residents of Darwin with an up-close and personal look at aircraft from all over the world. Aircrews from the Royal Australian Air Force, NATO, United States, Royal Malaysian Air Force, Republic of Singapore Air Force and Royal Thai Air Force were all on hand showcasing each country's fighter jets, cargo planes and early warning detection aircraft to the delight of thousands of Darwin locals. |
