Exercise Kakadu 2010
27 August 2010 Exercise Kakadu 2010 is the largest international maritime exercise in Australia for 2010. Ships from Thailand, Singapore, Japan joined eight Royal Australian Navy vessels in Exercise Kakadu which aims to build interoperability and international operations between Navies. Exercise Kakadu involved naval and air assets from Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, and Japan. Royal Malaysian Naval Officers participated in the exercise coordination. In addition the exercise was observed by representatives from India, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, France and Republic of Korea. Exercise Kakadu was held in the Northern Australian Exercise Area, located off the coast of Darwin and adjacent air space from 16 August to 3 September 2010. |
