Camp Life at Kot Addu

The life-saving work of Operation Pakistan Assist II continues at the Joint AusAID and Australian Defence Force health centre in Kot Addu, Pakistan.

The facility provides primary health care similar to a general practice, a ward for day treatment, basic diagnostic services including x-ray and pathology, a pharmacy and a preventative health program. The facility treats more than 200 patients per day and supplements over-burdened health services in Kot Addu, where more than 27,000 people are estimated to be homeless and over 250,000 are still relying on food assistance, whilst Pakistan recovers from the floods.

The health centre in Kot Addu is part of the wider Australian Government package of assistance to Pakistan in the wake of the floods.
