Australia’s Deputy High Commissioner, Rebekah Grindlay, attended the Official Flag Raising Ceremony at Camp Cockatoo in Kot Addu today. She was joined by the Multan District Emergency Coordination Officer, Muhammad Khurram Agha, from the Pakistan Government, and Commander of the 1st Artillery Division, Brigadier Rana Akhtar, from the Pakistan Military.
The ceremony was held in celebration of the opening of the temporary health centre at Kot Addu which has seen over 1000 patients treated in its first few days of operation. The Health Centre was established as part of Australia’s wider contribution to Pakistan in the wake of the devastating July floods.
