Dili Patrol

Australian Defence Force (ADF) and New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) troops have conducted a patrol in Dili to engage with community members and maintain security. The International Stabilisation Force (ISF) soldiers based at Forward Operating Base (FOB) Helicopter Point of Departure (HPOD) perform weekly patrols along their perimeter and into surrounding districts.

The ADF contributes over four hundred troops to the International Stabilisation Force in East Timor. The ISF operates at the invitation of the Government of East Timor, working in support of the United Nations, to maintain stability and provide a secure environment for the ongoing development of the country.
