New Zealand Memorial

International Stabilisation Force (ISF) members have held a special memorial in East Timor to honour four colleagues who were recently killed in tragic accidents across New Zealand. Over sixty ISF soldiers attended the service in Dili to farewell Flying Officer Daniel Gregory, Flight Lieutenant Hayden Madsen, Corporal Benjamin Carson, victims of an ANZAC Day helicopter crash, and Private Te Tahuna Tahapeehi of the New Zealand Army, who died the following day in a motorcycle accident.

The ADF contributes over four hundred troops to operations in East Timor. The ISF operate at the invitation of the Government of East Timor, working in support of the United Nations, to maintain stability and provide a secure environment for the ongoing development of the country.
