Hon Rob Knight visits Camp Phoenix
The Northern Territory Minister for Defence Support, the Hon Rob Knight, has visited Camp Phoenix, the Headquarters of the International Stabilisation Force (ISF) in East Timor, where he had an opportunity to meet with soldiers from Darwin.
During his visit the minister was provided with an overview of the ISF’s current activities and ongoing progress in East Timor.
Mr Knight said he enjoyed the opportunity to meet with Australian troops, especially those from the Northern Territory.
“It is great to come and show our support for the work our troops are doing over here,” he said at the conclusion of his visit to Camp Phoenix.
The ISF is comprised of Defence Force Members from Australia and New Zealand operating in support of the Government of Timor-Leste and the United Nations to strengthen security, stability and confidence in East Timor.
