Timor Leste Solidarity Medal

The Chief of the East Timor Defence Force, Major General Taur Matan Ruak and the Australian Ambassador for Timor Leste, His Excellency Peter Heyward, presented the Timor Leste Solidarity Medal (TLSM) and the Australian Service Medal (ASM) to eighty five Australian Defence Force personnel and one Canadian nearing the end of their deployment as part of the International Stabilisation Force (ISF) in East Timor.

The ISF is made up of Australian and New Zealand defence forces personnel working with the Timor Leste Government and United Nations in order to support peace and stability in East Timor.
