Zinc FM
Townsville, Zinc FM breakfast radio show DJs Karina and Mazzer are in East Timor to observe the International Stabilisation Force (ISF) at work and see how East Timor has progressed in just over ten years after our troops first arrived.
There are many service personnel currently deployed to East Timor that call Townsville home, including soldiers from second Royal Australian Regiment and 5th Aviation Regiment. Song requests and brief shout outs to family and friends were recorded and played on then Zinc FM breakfast radio show.
During their tour of East Timor, they will visit the ISF bases and training areas, spend time with the soldiers, gaining an insight into the daily routine of ISF members.
Whilst in country they will celebrate Australia Day with the ISF members and other Australian Nationals during a cricket match on the beach organised by the Australian Embassy.
