About 200 ADF and coalition forces gathered to commemorate and pay tribute to the sailors, soldiers, airmen and airwomen, who lost their lives in service to their respective nations, at poignant Remembrance Day service at Al Minhad Air Base’s Australian Memorial.
Poppies affixed to their Disruptive Pattern Desert Uniform pockets, ADF members laid wreaths at the cenotaph for their fallen comrades and were joined by David and Mary McCarthy, parents of Sig Sean McCarthy, who was KIA on July 8, 2008.
