Australian Helicopter Task Group Says Farewell to Coalition Partners

The Australian Rotary Wing Group is currently preparing to return home after eight months supporting ISAF aviation missions in Afghanistan during which time they have worked alongside Coalition soldiers supporting Task Force Destiny 101st Combat Aviation Brigade.

A farewell BBQ was held at Camp Baker, the home of RWG in Afghanistan on Sunday afternoon.

The Commander of Task Force Destiny, Colonel (COL) Bill Gayler was handed a personalised print of an Australian CH-47 by Australian war artist Captain Conway Bown as a memento of the occasion, along with specially made medallions.
