Members of Mentor Team Alpha, within the 1st Mentoring Task Force, have successfully established an un-partnered Afghan National Army (ANA) vehicle checkpoint (VCP) in the lower Mirabad Valley region of Uruzgan Province, southern Afghanistan.
The VCP is manned 24 hours a day by the ANA, controlling the flow of traffic and curtailing what was previously a major insurgent supply route in the area.
The Mentor Team conduct regular visits to the VCP to support their ANA partners.
