Lieutenant Colonel Jason Blain Farewell
The Commanding Officer of the 1st Mentoring Task Force, Lieutenant Colonel Jason Blain visited MTF1 soldiers throughout Uruzgan recently as part of his farewell Battlefield Circulation.
LTCOL Blain will officially turn over authority to LTCOL Mark Jennings on 21 June 2010 following four months in command of the 6 RAR Battalion Group which is designated MTF1.
The circulation included patrols in the Mirabad Valley Region and visits to Afghan National Army manned vehicle check points.
The handover process was conducted over 14-20 June at Multinational Base Tarin Kot.
There are about 750 personnel in the 6 RAR based battle group, including personnel from 2/14 LHR (QMI), 1 FD Regt, 2 CER and support elements from other 7 Bde units including 7 CSSB.
