The resupply mission involved about 100 military vehicles carrying supplies such as food, water, and equipment from Kandahar to the Multinational Base in Tarin Kot for distribution to troops across Uruzgan Province.
The journey to Kandahar from Tarin Kot takes around 18 hours with engineering elements from the 1st Mentoring Task Force, the Afghan Army’s 4th Brigade and US forces clearing the route in advance of the convoy.
Operation Tor Ghar has been conducted four times over the past two years.
