The opening ceremony was attended by official guests including the Interim Governor of Uruzgan Province Khoday Rahim, the Director of Education Malem Rammattulah Kahn, the Provincial Police Chief General Juma Gul, and the Dutch Embassy Civilian Representative Jennes de Mol.
Around twenty community leaders and about 500 students and teachers also attended the ceremony held inside the school grounds.
This event marks another successful Australian Defence Force and AusAid project that will increase local confidence in the Afghan government's ability to deliver education and development to the local people of Uruzgan.
