President of Afghanistan Visits Aussie Troops at Tarin Kot

The President of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai, recently met with the Commanding Officer of the First Mentoring Task Force, Lieutenant Colonel Jason Blain and other representatives from Task Force Uruzgan (TF-U) during a short visit to the Multinational Base in Tarin Kot.

President Karzai was in Tarin Kot to conduct a shura with key TK leadership. During his short visit to MNBTK, the President displayed a fascination for the intricately designed pace stick carried by the RSM of MTF1, WO1 Stephan Colman and asked the purpose of the stick.

After the RSM's explanation the President held a short meeting and photo opportunity with key TF-U staff before mounting-up to attend the TK shura.
