SOTG medics complete over 60 helicopter missions during winter in Uruzgan
AUSTRALIAN medics from the Special Operations Task Group are filling a critical role on board American helicopters for combat and civilian medical emergencies in Southern Afghanistan.
During the Afghan winter so far, SOTG medics on operation have flown on over 60 Aero Medical Evacuation (AME) missions aboard the American helicopters stationed in Tarin Kot from the 1st Battalion 82nd Aviation Regiment, known as Task Force Wolfpack.
