SWAPP SELECT is a Defence-funded initiative developed to assist partners of ADF members to become job-ready and access the workforce in their new posting locality.
SWAPP recently underwent an evaluation and review to develop the future direction of the program. In response to the feedback received from ADF partners, the suite of SWAPP initiatives has been enhanced by providing a greater choice of services and providers for professional employment assistance.
Under the new model of SWAPP SELECT, the applicant will obtain a quote for the services required from a service provider of their own choice, and then seek approval for eligibility and funding from Defence. This initiative provides partners with a choice of some or all of the following services up to the capped limit of $2500:
- Career transition assessment and advice;
- Job Search techniques and strategies;
- Preparation and presentation for interview;
- Application and selection criteria preparation;
- Identifying training options; and
- Identifying job options.
