RAAFA’s new QLD branch

Volume 49, No. 16, September 06, 2007

The formation of the Combat Support Branch of the Royal Australian Air Force Association (RAAFA) (Queensland Division) has filled a long-neglected void that has existed since World War II.

Since that time, many Air Force personnel have supported operations around the world, but have never been posted to or attached to an operational flying unit, which has sometimes frustrated former personnel on occasions such as Anzac Day group celebrations or reunions.

The new branch will provide a range of support to members, including employment support and advice and advocacy services. It is open to all ranks, musterings and categories.

If you have served in the RAAF in support of operations from WWII and would like to join, contact branch secretary Andy Kilgour at ae_k@optusnet.com.au or on 0409 076020.
