| ROLL ‘EM: LAC Jason Storr in action at the ADF tenpin titles. |
|
Air Force's LAC Jason Storr fell just short in a thrilling Masters event at the Australian Defence Tenpin Bowling Association Championships at Penrith from June 4-8, when honours were shared among ADF uniformed and APS personnel.
It promised to be a high-scoring championships with five of the six “300” bowlers competing, and that prediction held true.
The Masters event rounded out the competition with the top 16 bowlers going head to head to decide the Champion of the ADF.
Army’s PTE Dave Edwards proved the kingpin after one of the highest scoring roll-offs witnessed at the ADTBA nationals. Contesting the nationals for the first time, he held on to win a thriller against LAC Storr.
The GB plate handicap competition pitted top qualifier Brett Kleidon (APS) against CPL Alan Pepper (Air Force). CPL Pepper’s persistence paid off when he won a spirited contest.
