Lake Attack
- The annual Defence Force Lake Attack charity event will be held on Sunday, August 26 at Albert Park in Melbourne.
- The event will include a military band, childrens’ activities, Defence displays, AFL footballers, a handball competition and other family activities, with participants receiving a show bag, medal and t-shirt.

Lawn bowls
- APS personnel will be eligible to compete for the first time in the 2007 Australian Services Bowling Association Championships in Ipswich from September 10-14.
- The interstate and inter-Service state championships will be run in conjunction.

Legacy Run
- The fundraising Legacy 100km relay will be held at Bandiana South Army Logistics Training Centre in Wodonga on August 31.
- The event will consist of a 100km relay race and 80km individual run, and will cost $150 for individuals and $500 for a team of four. It is open to ADF and APS members.

Mountain biking
- The Australian Defence Cycle Club is calling for entries in the 2007 Australian 24-hour mountain bike race at Mt Stromlo, ACT, from October 13-14.

Shooting
- ADF members are invited to participate in the 2007 Australasian Police and Services Clay Target Championships from October 4-7 at the Majura Gun Club in Canberra.
