Fun run
- The annual 14km Sydney City-To-Surf Fun Run is on Sunday, August 12 and is open to all permanent and reserve personnel and Defence civilians.
- The revised policy and entry process for Defence runners is detailed at www.adf.coolrunning.com.au or members can contact CAPT Marcovich at nicholas.marcovich@defence.gov.au or on 0417 209391.
Basketball
- Army will defend both its titles at the Northern Territory inter-Service Basketball Tournament in the RAAF Base Tindal gymnasium from August 24-26.
- Teams will be selected to represent at the national titles at RAAF Base Wagga from December 1-9.

Shooting
