Air Command Band
August 19: The Parade Band will support a Vietnam Vets’ parade and commemorative service at Springwood, near Glenbrook, at 11.30am.
Central Band
August 19: The Ceremonial Band will support the 1RTU graduation parade at RAAF Base Edinburgh from 1pm.
August 17: The Ceremonial Band will support the 2FTS No. 208 Pilots’ Course graduation parade at RAAF Base Pearce from 10:30am.
August 23: The Ceremonial Band will support the SAW graduation parade at RAAF Base East Sale from 1.45pm.
EO Symposium
The eighth Australian Explosive Ordnance (EO) Symposium, known as PARARI, will be held at the Hilton on the Park Hotel, Melbourne, from November 13-15.
The symposium is jointly hosted by the Department of Defence Joint Logistics Group, Directorate of Ordnance Safety, and Thales Australia. It attracts delegates from the local EO community (government and private) and more than 13 nations.
Topics will include: insensitive munitions design and testing; explosives design and use; explosives effects modelling; improvised explosive devices; explosives safety and EO management.

Malaysia project
A publication on the RAAF’s presence in Malaysia during the period 1964-1984 is being compiled.
Any current or former Air Force members who served in Malaysia during that period are welcome to provide details on their experiences to the author, Ray Sanderson, for possible inclusion in the publication.
