Awards for Defence safety

Innovation and excellence in the fields of occupational health and safety were rewarded at the Defence Safety Awards function in Canberra on June 18.
The awards recognised the outstanding performance by areas within Defence in creating safer work environments.
“Nothing is more important than ensuring that we have a safe and healthy workplace for all of our people in Defence,” CDF ACM Angus Houston said at the awards.
Air Force won a commendation for Management of Asbestos Components in Inventory (MACHI) for its outstanding progress towards developing and implementing a solution to an identified workplace health and safety issue.
Also awarded a commendation was the Air Lift Systems Programs Office for demonstrating commitment to continuous improvement of workplace health and safety. |
