The Governor-General MAJGEN Michael Jeffery has announced the following appointments and awards from the 2007 Queen’s Birthday Honours List:
Officer (AO) in the Military Division, Royal Australian Air Force
AVM John Blackburn
-For distinguished service to the Air Force as Commander of the Integrated Area Defence System and as Deputy Chief of Air Force.
Member (AM) in the Military Divison, Royal Australian Air Force
GPCAPT Gregory Bruce
-For exceptional service to the Air Force Specialist Reserve.
AIRCDRE Dennis Green
-For exceptional service to the ADF and Air Force as Commandant of the Australian Defence Force Warfare Centre and Director General Strategy and Planning – Air Force.
Chaplain Peter John O’KEEFE
-For exceptional service to the Air Force as a chaplain.
AIRCDRE Ian Phillip Smith
-For exceptional performance of duties as a senior Air Force logistics officer and contributions to the strategic development of ADF logistics.
Medal (OAM) in the General Division
WGCDR James Treadwell (ret’d)
-For service to veterans and their families through a range of welfare and historical organisations.
Conspicuous Service Cross (CSC), Royal Australian Air Force
WOFF John Benyon
-For outstanding achievement as the Test One Specialist Training Officer at 92 Wing Development Flight.
WOFF Grant Colhoun
-For outstanding achievement to the Air Force in the field of airfield defence.
SQNLDR John Davidson
For outstanding achievement as the Commanding Officer of the Forward Air Control and Development Unit.
FLTLT Kay Ellis
-For outstanding achievement as the Air Force Next-of-Kin Relations Officer.
SQNLDR Adam Hughes
-For outstanding achievement as a medical officer at No. 322 Combat Support Squadron.

-For outstanding service as the OIC of Satellite and Information Systems at No. 1 Combat Support Squadron.
