The women’s All Stars team is expected to provide the basis for the Australian Services Australian Football Association’s team for the looming women’s championships in Canberra.
The All Stars were named after the recent inter-Service championships in Canberra, where the ASAFA will provide grounds, umpires and ancillary support for the national event.
All states except Tasmania will join ASAFA and the Victorian under-19 representative side to contest the championships at grounds at Duntroon on July 9 and 13.
The action then switches to Manuka Oval where the round-robin will continue on July 12.
First and second placegetters will play off for the championship at Manuka Oval on July 14.
The ADF representative team will go into camp at HMAS Harman from July 3-8 in preparation for the titles.
“We have had a very good showing from ADFA with some promising and good players,” ASAFA women’s coach WO2 Kim Beasland said. |
